Meet Chris Boniakowski. ZenFi Network’s Director of Wireless Solutions. Chris holds a BA from Boston College and MBA from The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Chris has been in the in the telecommunications industry for over 12 years.
Experience
Chris began his career as a project analyst at Lexent Metro Connect, a leading fiber provider in New York City until its acquisition by Lightower. During his time at LMC, Chris became responsible for GIS fiber management, splice design and deployment, and network maintenance and troubleshooting. Chris’ first experience in mobile infrastructure was deploying and documenting the fiber network serving a large mobile network deployment in the Bronx, NY.
After LMC was acquired, Chris joined Metro Network Services (a sister company to ZenFi Networks) and was responsible for site acquisition, RF analysis, and construction support during the deployment of an 1184 km microwave network between Chicago and exchanges near New York City, as well as ongoing support of fiber optic construction projects in the greater NYC area.
His Role With ZenFi Networks
Chris continued as part of the Operations team at ZenFi Networks before joining the Wireless Solutions group in 2019. He works with our customers to provide innovative solutions for large scale wireless deployments in the region including fiber connectivity, network edge colocation space, and wireless siting.
Chris enjoys the opportunity to work with customers from initial development stages through project deployment to bringing sites on air in our unique market.
Outside of work Chris is either playing with his two kids or hiking or skiing in the Maine woods near his home, depending on the season.
